Privacy & data
Privacy Policy
Last updated November 1, 2026. This policy describes the current BlockBuddy application and identifies information that still depends on the website’s hosting configuration.
Information BlockBuddy handles
BlockBuddy does not provide user accounts, and its pages do not ask visitors to submit personal information. Seed, coordinate, and calculator inputs are processed in your browser. The seed-generation work runs in a browser worker; the seed value is not sent to a BlockBuddy generation service.
The Item Wiki and recipe finder may request their JSON search indexes from the same website origin when you use those searches. Those requests return catalog records and are not requests to an analytics or advertising service. As with any website, the hosting provider and network infrastructure may receive technical request information such as an IP address, requested URL, timestamp, and browser headers. The hosting provider and its retention practices have not been identified in this project, so consult the operator’s hosting configuration for details.
Local storage, cookies, and similar technologies
The site saves your dark or light theme preference in your browser’s localStorage under the key blockbuddy-theme, and locally saved coordinate waypoints under blockbuddy-waypoints. This is browser storage, not a cookie, and it is stored only on your local device. You can remove it anytime by clearing this site’s stored data in your browser.
The current application code does not set or read cookies, use tracking pixels, or use analytics identifiers. Hosting or infrastructure outside the application may have its own technical storage; that configuration is not available in this repository.
Analytics and advertising
BlockBuddy does not use tracking cookies or advertising networks. If the privacy-friendly Cloudflare Web Analytics beacon is enabled via deployment configuration, it collects only aggregate, anonymous technical metrics (such as page views and browser device type) without cookies, local storage, or personal identifiers.
If Google AdSense is enabled, Google and other third-party vendors may use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor’s previous visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this website and/or other websites. Depending on the actual providers and settings, advertising may also involve local storage or similar technologies and the processing of information for ad delivery, measurement, frequency capping, fraud prevention, or personalization. These practices are not active on BlockBuddy now.
When advertising is introduced, this policy must identify the third-party vendors and ad networks actually selected, link to their privacy information, and explain available opt-outs for personalized advertising. Users can manage Google personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. Users can also visit aboutads.info to learn about opting out of some participating companies’ interest-based advertising. These controls do not mean BlockBuddy currently serves ads.
For details about Google’s advertising technologies, see Google’s advertising technologies and cookies information. The actual vendors, technologies, and choices must be confirmed and reflected here before any advertising integration is enabled.
Advertising consent in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland
BlockBuddy currently has no advertising consent dialog or consent management platform because it does not serve ads. Before serving personalized Google ads to visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the operator must use a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework, as required by Google’s current publisher requirements. Google describes different eligibility for non-personalized or limited ads, but those options do not remove applicable legal consent obligations.
Google’s EU user consent policy also requires clear information about the parties that may collect, receive, or use personal data, and legally valid consent for cookies or other local storage where required and for personal-data processing for personalized advertising. Consent must be recorded, and visitors must be given clear instructions for withdrawing it. Applicable laws can impose additional requirements. No such consent is collected by BlockBuddy today. See Google’s EU user consent policy and publisher consent-management requirements.
External websites and services
Some item pages link to Minecraft Wiki search results. Following an external link takes you to that independent website, which may receive your request information and apply its own privacy and cookie practices. BlockBuddy does not control that website. The project does not currently embed third-party analytics, advertising, video, or social widgets.
Your choices and data handling
The site does not sell personal information or maintain a BlockBuddy user profile in the application code. This statement does not describe technical logs that may be generated by the hosting provider.
- Use browser settings to clear localStorage and other site data or to restrict browser storage. Clearing the theme preference returns the display to its default on a later visit.
- You can use browser or network controls to limit external links and requests. Blocking JavaScript may prevent interactive tools and search from working.
- No contact form or account-data export/deletion workflow is implemented because this application does not collect submitted account data. Hosting access-log requests, if retained by the provider, are governed by that provider’s configuration.
Children’s privacy
BlockBuddy is a general-purpose Minecraft utility site and does not ask visitors, including children, to provide names, account details, or contact information. The application does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If an advertising service is added later, its age-related and consent requirements must be reviewed before activation.
Contact and policy updates

This policy may be updated when the site’s data practices or services change. Material changes should be reflected here before the new practice is introduced.
